Social Distance Dinner 1 (2020)

Social Distance Dinner 2 (2021)
Kiel, Germany
The outbreak of Covid-19 has significantly changed the way we live and eat together. During the last years sitting and eating together got disturbed by new restrictions, making
it more complicated to spend time
with each other while taking care of
each other.
For the social Distance Dinner, I invited participants to sit and eat together, following the guidelines of social distancing. Following a menu of our own designed rules, the participants got different tools to cope and communicate with each other. During the first session in 2020, the participants got the chance to document and communicate through crayons on a paper table cloth. For the second session in 2021, I designed different tools so the participants could help each other by pulling and pushing food over the table.
